Becker’s Health IT recently interviewed Craig Kwiatkowski, PharmD, senior vice president and chief information officer at Cedars-Sinai, about the institution’s No. 3 ranking among large organizations on Foundry’s Computerworld "Best Places to Work in IT 2026."

Kwiatkowski said Cedars-Sinai’s efforts to grow and provide the most up-to-date resources to its information technology professionals helped earn the high ranking.

“We provide modern tools and continuous learning opportunities that help our teams grow their careers and stay ahead of emerging technologies,” he told Becker’s Health IT.

Kwiatkowski added that Cedars-Sinai’s flexible work arrangements widen the pool of job candidates, promoting an inclusive culture.

“Our hybrid and remote options attract diverse talent, and we are intentional about fostering a culture where everyone feels they belong,” he said.

Kwiatkowski told Becker’s Health IT that listening to frontline staff across Cedars-Sinai—both inside and outside his team—has yielded valuable insights that shape information technology strategies and innovation.

“That constant feedback loop is what helps keep Cedars-Sinai at the forefront of innovation while simultaneously strengthening our culture,” he said.

Computerworld also named Cedars-Sinai No. 1 in “workplace modernization” and “workplace culture,” and No. 9 in “retention and engagement.”

Cedars-Sinai’s information technology teams also recently earned top honors from two other organizations. The CHIME “Digital Health Most Wired” survey awarded a Level 9 rating for the effective use and implementation of technology, and Newsweek ranked Cedars-Sinai No. 17 on its “World’s Best Smart Hospitals” list, which recognizes tech‑forward healthcare organizations.
