From Football to Fútbol, Rams and Angel City FC Visit Cedars-Sinai
Athletes From Cedars-Sinai Partner Teams Visit Young Patients as Cedars-Sinai Marks Five Years as Angel City FC’s Official Health Partner
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and offensive lineman Bill Murray joined Angel City FC player Riley Tiernan for a special visit with patients and families at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s.
The athletes spent time talking with patients, posing for photos and delivering gifts, providing a welcome break from hospital routines for children and families receiving care. The visit also highlighted the shared commitment of Cedars-Sinai, the Rams and Angel City FC to supporting the Los Angeles community.
“It’s nice to have a change of pace. We’ve been here for a while, and having people come in from the outside world is special,” said Catherine Harker, whose son is a patient at Guerin Children’s. “It can be a little isolating when you’ve been here for a long time. To be seen and feel that people recognize we’re here—it’s just nice.”
The visit reflects Cedars-Sinai’s longstanding relationship with the Los Angeles Rams. As the team’s official healthcare partner and trusted doctors, Cedars-Sinai cares for Rams players throughout the season. The visit gave players an opportunity to extend that relationship beyond the field and connect with children and families receiving care.
Cedars-Sinai also is celebrating five years as the official health partner and trusted doctors of Angel City FC. Since the club’s inaugural season, Cedars-Sinai physicians have supported the team’s athletes on and off the pitch while helping advance conversations about women’s health and performance.
“Cedars-Sinai is proud to care for the athletes of Angel City FC and to support the health and performance of women and girls across Los Angeles,” said Rachel Triche, MD, Cedars-Sinai orthopedic surgeon and chief medical officer for Angel City FC. “Our partnership allows us to care for elite athletes while helping inspire the next generation of women and girls in soccer.”
Since Angel City FC’s first season, Cedars-Sinai and ACFC have continued to support the growth of women’s sports and elevate the visibility of professional women’s soccer.
Cedars-Sinai will serve as the presenting partner of Angel City FC’s Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, Oct. 24, as the club hosts Bay FC for its final home match of the season at BMO Stadium. In addition to the match entitlement, Cedars-Sinai will have a dedicated activation space during the pre-game Fan Fest, featuring interactive activities, games and family-friendly experience for fans.
