Terri Wagner Cammarano, JD, LLM, CHC, Named General Counsel for Cedars-Sinai

Trusted Legal Advisor Brings More than 25 Years of Legal Experience in the Nonprofit Healthcare Sector to Her New Role

Cedars-Sinai is pleased to announce the appointment of Terri Wagner Cammarano, JD, LLM, CHC, as senior vice president of Legal Affairs and General Counsel.

“Terri brings more than 25 years of legal experience in the nonprofit healthcare sector, having served in private practice and in executive legal roles with major Southern California health systems,” said Thomas M. Priselac, president and CEO. “We are thrilled to have Terri join our leadership team and are eager to utilize her deep background in nonprofit governance, complex business transactions, litigation strategy, regulatory compliance and tax-exemption matters.”

Wagner Cammarano will oversee major legal matters on behalf of the health system and provide executive counsel on all issues related to legal affairs. She will manage the Legal Affairs Department and serve as a resource to internal departments seeking legal guidance. She succeeds Peter E. Braveman, Esq., Cedars-Sinai’s current senior vice president of Legal Affairs, who is soon retiring.

“Peter has guided our organization through a changing healthcare landscape for more than three decades, and we are immensely appreciative of his commitment to us,” Priselac said. “We are confident that Terri will carry on this excellent work and help further shape the future of our health system.”

Wagner Cammarano most recently worked as a partner at Hooper Lundy & Bookman, P.C., in Los Angeles, where she served as counsel and advocate for health systems, hospitals, medical practice foundations and other healthcare service providers.

Prior to that position, she served as Chief Legal Counsel and a member of the executive leadership team at MemorialCare Health System in Fountain Valley. She was responsible for planning and coordinating legal affairs, government relations, litigation management and strategy, legal support to business transactions and oversight of all outside counsel.

She has also served as Senior Vice President and Special Advisor at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, where Wagner Cammarano created Hoag’s first Legal Department, building the infrastructure to provide legal support to Hoag Memorial’s mission.

Wagner Cammarano assumes her position on Jan. 21, 2019.
