Peter E. Braveman, Esq.
Peter E. Braveman, Esq., is an expert on healthcare law who advises the Board of Directors and senior management on legal and regulatory matters. As general counsel, he has guided Cedars-Sinai through a changing healthcare landscape for three decades.
He has authored a number of articles on healthcare law and is a frequent speaker at national and local seminars and conferences.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai in 1987, he practiced healthcare law for the law firm Loeb & Loeb in Los Angeles for eight years, and spent two years working on the legal research staff of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich, Germany.
Braveman was awarded the Max Rheinstein Grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for 1976 to 1978. He received the Outstanding Corporate Counsel Award from the Corporate Law Departments Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association in 2010. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in English with a certificate in American civilization from Princeton University in 1972 and a juris doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1976.
