Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Named to Honor Roll for 10th Consecutive Year in U.S. News & World Report’s Annual “Best Hospitals” Rankings; Tied for No. 1 in California

Cedars-Sinai has been named to the Honor Roll for the 10th consecutive year in U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Hospitals 2025-26" rankings.  

The medical center also tied for No. 1 in California.

The U.S. News rankings, released Tuesday, are based on patient outcomes, patient experience, technology, ability to handle complex medical conditions and a variety of other health-related measures.

The rankings signal to international patients that Cedars-Sinai meets rigorous standards for clinical excellence, research and innovation, providing further assurance that patients will receive world-class care from a trusted, globally recognized institution.

U.S. News selects the top-performing hospitals for the Honor Roll based on their high rankings and ratings in multiple specialties, procedures and conditions.

Cedars-Sinai had 11 specialties in the U.S. named in the hospital rankings. The specialty rankings mean Cedars-Sinai is among the top 50 hospitals in the U.S. in these specific clinical areas.

Three Cedars-Sinai specialties were ranked in the top five in the U.S.:

  • Gastroenterology & GI Surgery (No. 2)
  • Orthopedics (No. 5)
  • Pulmonology & Lung Surgery (No. 5)

Six specialties were ranked in the top 10 in the U.S. In addition to the three above, the list includes:

  • Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery (No. 6)
  • Diabetes & Endocrinology (No. 9)
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology (No. 8, tied)

 Three specialties also were No. 1 in California (highest U.S. News ranking in the region):  

  • Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery
  • Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
  • Orthopedics
