The Addiction Psychiatry Consultation Program provides evidence‑based, compassionate care for people with substance-use disorders and related problems who are currently hospitalized for medical reasons. Our program brings together the best available assessment tools and treatments, ranging from psychotherapy to medication.
Our experts lead research to understand and discover treatments for substance use disorders. We work closely with community providers and programs to link our patients to a continuum of addiction treatment services after they leave the hospital.

The Advanced Clinical Psychiatry Elective is a 3‑week course that gives medical students rich experience in psychiatric patient care.
