Cedars-Sinai will livestream its 23rd Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, honoring the legacy of the civil rights leader and his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and community service.
This year’s event will feature a keynote address by Kelvin A. Baggett, MD, who will discuss hope, connection, and kindness—values that align with Dr. King’s vision of equitable healthcare access for all.
Cedars-Sinai’s commemoration of King’s leadership is an annual event that has featured speakers ranging from Marc H. Morial, Myrlie Evers and Martin Luther King III to Berry Gordy and LeVar Burton.

- Keynote Speaker: Kelvin A. Baggett, MD.
Baggett is Senior Managing Director in Transformation and Growth at Patient Square Capital, a private equity firm based in Menlo Park, Calif., where he leads efforts in patient impact and chairs the EMPIRIC (Excellence in Medicine, Patient Impact Research, Innovation and Care) Institute. His healthcare expertise drives large-scale improvements in quality, care delivery, and health outcomes across Patient Square’s investments. Previously, Baggett was EVP and Chief Impact Officer at McKesson, where he advanced global strategies to fulfill McKesson’s mission of “Advancing Health Outcomes for All.”
- Musical Guest: Nayanna Holley
Holley, a seasoned singer and vocal contractor, is a member of NBC’s The Voice House Band and a former American Idol House Band member. She has toured with top artists, including P!NK, St. Vincent, Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez, and Sheryl Crow.
