Groups to Lean On
Healing from a life-changing event isn’t easy, especially on your own. Cedars-Sinai provides support groups for patients and their families through all stages of care, from diagnosis with an illness to recovery from procedures. The medical center also hosts several community-based support groups, including 12-step programs, which are open to the public.
Support groups cover areas such as:
- Alcohol and drug dependency and addiction
- Advance care planning
- Aphasia
- Brain disorders
- Cancer
- Diabetes
- Maternal mental health
- Social and mental health support and education
- Stroke
- Transplant
- Weight numbers
