Groups to Lean On

Healing from a life-changing event isn’t easy, especially on your own. Cedars-Sinai provides support groups for patients and their families through all stages of care, from diagnosis with an illness to recovery from procedures. The medical center also hosts several community-based ­support groups,­ including 12-step­ programs,­ which are­ open ­to ­the ­public.

Support groups cover areas such as:
  • Alcohol and drug dependency and addiction
  • Advance care planning
  • Aphasia
  • Brain disorders
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • Maternal mental health
  • Social and mental health support and education
  • Stroke
