Cedars-Sinai Experts Present at Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, KSA
Cedars-Sinai Experts Available to Discuss the Gut Microbiome, Patient Experience and Human-Centered Health Systems
Cedars-Sinai will join healthcare leaders at the Global Health Exhibition Oct. 27-30 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss innovation and investment in medicine and wellness.
The Cedars-Sinai International team is attending the conference for the first time, underscoring its commitment to building partnerships and sharing knowledge globally. More than 100,000 healthcare professionals will attend.
“I am thrilled to present Cedars-Sinai research at an international level and collaborate with our esteemed partners in Saudi Arabia,” said Barham K. Abu Dayyeh, MD, MPH, executive director and associate dean for Innovation at Cedars-Sinai, and director of Interventional Gastroenterology and System Integration in Advanced Endoscopy.
“At Cedars-Sinai, we go above and beyond in advancing science, then maximize the impact for patients by ensuring our findings reach a worldwide audience,” Abu Dayyeh said. “I am especially excited to share how future-enabling platforms, including robotics and novel energy sources, are ushering in regenerative paradigms for the management of metabolic and immune-related diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.”
Cedars-Sinai will have a booth at the exhibition—Booth H2.Q50—to share more about Cedars-Sinai’s excellence in healthcare both in the U.S. and globally.
During the session “Modulating Metabolic Disease Through Gut-Targeted Therapies: A Regenerative Paradigm Shift in Type 2 Diabetes Management,” Abu Dayyeh will explore how the gut and its microbiome shape immune and metabolic health, and he will highlight cutting-edge endoscopic therapies that modulate these interactions to transform the management of chronic metabolic and immune-mediated diseases.
Alan Dubovsky, vice president and chief patient experience officer, will discuss the shift in patient care from hospital-centered to human-centered systems.
Dubovsky and Maxwell Nicholson, associate director of Patient Experience, will also host the “Cedars-Sinai Elevating Patient Experience” workshop dedicated to equipping patient experience professionals with the skills to drive a culture of patient experience excellence.
“I am honored and excited to share how our team fine-tunes the patient experience, not just at Cedars-Sinai, but around the world, with our partners in Saudi Arabia, and more recently, in our “Patient Experience Expert Class” hosted by our affiliate, The View Hospital in Qatar,” Dubovsky said.
J. Patrick Johnson, MD, co-director of the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center, will also participate as a speaker. He will discuss how the integration of AI, augmented reality and virtual reality into surgical simulations improves patient outcomes during the session “How Technology Is Transforming Surgery.”
