Cedars-Sinai Experts Attend World Health Expo in Dubai

Cedars-Sinai experts will join healthcare leaders from around the globe at World Health Expo, Feb. 9-12, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to discuss emerging medical innovations and clinical advances.

Members of Cedars-Sinai International attend the conference annually, deepening the organization’s commitment to sharing medical expertise and cultivating relationships with partners in the Middle East and beyond.

“I look forward to representing Cedars-Sinai, presenting our latest research and advances in the multidisciplinary treatment of esophageal cancer, leveraging cutting-edge, minimally invasive robotic surgery combined with the latest advancements in medical oncology in the treatment of esophageal cancer,” said Harmik J. Soukiasian, MD, chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Cancer. He will discuss advances in surgical techniques during his keynote on “Medical Management of Esophageal Cancer,” as part of the General Surgery Conference.

Cedars-Sinai will have a booth at the exhibition—Booth S17.E70—where attendees can learn about Cedars-Sinai’s clinical excellence, patient care services, collaboration models and growing global footprint, including the recently opened clinic in London and offices in Mexico, Singapore and Ecuador.

The World Health Expo—formerly called Arab Health—showcases 850 exhibitors, attracting more than 35,000 professionals from 180 countries.

Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedics is also internationally recognized through its long-standing designation as a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.

In a keynote, “The Future of Musculoskeletal Longevity Through Stem Cells, PRP and Precision Movement Medicine,” Mandelbaum will discuss how emerging approaches in stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and precision movement medicine are shaping the future of musculoskeletal longevity.

James Kirkland, MD, PhD, director of the Center for Advanced Gerotherapeutics, will speak during the keynote address “Translating Senolytics and Gerotherapeutics Into a Global Longevity Ecosystem.” His presentation will highlight the impact of senolytic drugs, a class of medications designed to target the biological processes underlying aging and treat age-related diseases.

Cedars-Sinai has been named to the Honor Roll for the 10th consecutive year in U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Hospitals 2025-26" rankings. The medical center also tied for No.1 in California and Los Angeles. In addition, Cedars-Sinai had 11 specialties in the U.S. News & World Report hospital rankings.
