Today, Cedars-Sinai announced the award-winning medical drama “The Pitt” will be honored with the Hollywood Leadership Award for its authentic portrayal of life in the emergency room and commitment to portraying the realities of emergency medicine with accuracy and heart. Star and executive producer Noah Wyle, executive producer and director John Wells and creator and showrunner Noah Wyle, John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill will be recognized on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Lot in Burbank, at the Sunset Soirée, presented by the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors.
The evening will also honor philanthropists and community leaders Jaime and Andrew Schwartzberg with the Philanthropic Leadership Award, commemorating their decades of meaningful service, mentorship and transformative support of Cedars-Sinai's mission.
The gala will bring together more than 750 guests, including prominent leaders across business, entertainment, finance, law and philanthropy to raise funds for Cedars-Sinai’s Innovation to Impact campaign. The campaign, a $60 million initiative launched by the Board of Governors, is focused on accelerating early-stage research across five critical areas: children's health, cancer, neurosciences, autoimmune diseases, and metabolic diseases and aging. Central to this effort is the advancement of single-cell technology, empowering investigators to study diseased cells at the individual level and uncover the root causes of complex human conditions. The event’s fundraising toward the campaign will advance groundbreaking research and improve patient care for generations to come.
Set against the transformed backdrop of the historic Warner Bros. soundstages, the Sunset Soirée’s program will unfold as an unforgettable evening built around purpose, featuring special presentations, an exciting live auction and a closing performance by award-winning musician Andy Grammer. Rounding out the night's festivities, event sponsor and acclaimed Beverly Hills steakhouse Steak 48 will host a signature pop-up experience, giving guests a taste of one of Los Angeles’ most celebrated dining destinations.
“We’re excited to honor the incredible team behind ‘The Pitt,’ celebrating the power of storytelling and philanthropy to inspire meaningful change,” said Peter L. Slavin, MD, President and CEO of Cedars-Sinai. “Through their commitment to raising awareness about healthcare and emergency medicine both on and off screen, the team behind ‘The Pitt’ is helping shine a light on the importance of lifesaving care and the breakthroughs that make it possible. We’re also deeply grateful to Jaime and Andrew Schwartzberg for their generosity and longstanding commitment to Cedars-Sinai, alongside their extraordinary leadership and wide-reaching impact across the Los Angeles community beyond our hospital walls.
