Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Receives Top Performance Award

Los Angeles - Nov. 18, 2007 - Cedars-Sinai Medical Group was one of only 10 medical groups in Southern California to recently receive the Top Performance Award from the statewide nonprofit healthcare group, Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA). Statewide, a total of 47 out of the 235 participating physician groups was honored.

"Delivering quality care to our patients and their families is the priority of physicians and staff at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group," said Thomas D. Gordon, Cedars-Sinai Medical Network Services Chief Executive Officer.

 "Accolades such as these reinforce that we are indeed focusing on what matters most - high quality care and treatment options."

Established in 1985, the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group includes more than 90 primary care and specialty physicians and offers a myriad of medical services to patients in need.

Top Performance Award winners were selected based on their delivery of recommended care, patient satisfaction and investment in information technologies (IT) that support quality care. Cedars-Sinai Medical Group was ranked among the top 10 medical groups in Southern California.

The IHA is a nonprofit statewide collaborative leadership group of California health plans, physician groups, and healthcare systems, academic, consumer, purchaser, pharmaceutical and technology representatives. The group promotes quality improvement, accountability, and affordability for the benefit of all California consumers through special projects, policy innovation and education.
