Cedars-Sinai and Partners Unite for Community Wellness at Taste of Soul 2023 Festival

WHAT

Cedars-Sinai is proud to join Charles R. Drew University, Martin Luther King Community Hospital and other local healthcare organizations as sponsors of the LA Sentinel’s Taste of Soul annual community festival on Oct. 21.

Cedars-Sinai’s Office of Health Equity’s Community Connect Program and Community Engagement’s Community Health Improvement Program will be onsite to provide Los Angelenos with a variety of health services that include:

  • Flu vaccines for those 9 years and older.
  • Community resource navigation to help local residents get access to free and reduced-price community resources for medical care, transportation, caregiving, mental health services and more.

The Taste of Soul street festival attracts more than 350,000 people annually. In addition to free medical screenings, the event features vendors, entertainment, voter registration, job opportunities, interactive family engagement and more.
