Arthur J. Ochoa, JD, to Co-Chair Board of Pacific Council on International Policy
Cedars-Sinai’s Chief Advancement Officer to Co-Lead Pacific Council Board with Robert W. Lovelace of Capital International, Inc., to Promote Discussion, Development of Global Policies
Arthur J. Ochoa, JD, has been appointed co-chair of the Pacific Council on International Policy board of directors, lending his organizational expertise to promote diverse perspectives on global affairs among the people of Los Angeles and California. The Pacific Council is a leading international affairs membership organization based in the Golden State.
In his new role on the Pacific Council board, Ochoa, senior vice president of Advancement and chief advancement officer for Cedars-Sinai, will work alongside fellow board co-chair Robert W. Lovelace of Capital International, Inc., to bolster awareness of international policies centered around human rights, inclusivity, climate change and technology, among other key issues.
“I’m honored and privileged to help drive the conversation about forward-thinking strategies and principles that guide global policy,” Ochoa said. “Organizations like the Pacific Council for International Policy help to strengthen the effectiveness of subnational diplomacy, bringing California’s vital perspective to the global policy debate.”
Ochoa has more than three decades of leadership in philanthropic outreach, community engagement and health equity under his professional belt. He began his career as a tax attorney, representing major corporations and nonprofit organizations. He later transitioned to healthcare, and now oversees all aspects of Cedars-Sinai’s fundraising campaigns that, to date, have raised more than $2 billion to support the medical center’s growing academic research enterprise.

Founded in 1995, in partnership with the University of Southern California and the Council on Foreign Relations, the Pacific Council on International Policy engages people from different industries and backgrounds to join foreign policy discussions to bring about global change. The council hosts roundtable discussions, participates in international delegations and covers foreign policy in its online magazine.
