CIRCL Faculty Positions
Outstanding Academic Positions in Lifestyle and Cancer Research
Basic/Translational Scientist – Clinical Trialist – Epidemiologist
Cedars-Sinai seeks applications for multiple open rank faculty positions in the Center for Integrated Research in Cancer and Lifestyle (CIRCL) within the Cancer Prevention and Genetics Program of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. We are looking to fill multiple faculty positions, all with a focus on lifestyle-related cancer research (i.e., diet and exercise and how they impact cancer risk, cancer outcomes or survivorship) including positions in translational research, clinical trials and epidemiology. The overarching goal of CIRCL is to create a world-class, multidisciplinary, integrated bedside-to-benchtop-to-bedside, translational lifestyle research center focused on cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship, which directly leads to improved day-to-day clinical care for patients with cancer or at risk of having cancer.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing an independent grant-supported research program
- Collaborating with a growing number of basic, translational and clinical investigators focused on cancer prevention and lifestyle
- Supervising students, residents, fellows and junior faculty
The ideal candidate will have an MD and/or PhD, with relevant research experience. High-impact publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and a strong interest in lifestyle cancer research are preferred. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates with a record of peer-reviewed funding, and candidates will be expected to develop a recognized, extramurally funded research program.
Laboratory space, equipment, salary and a start-up package will be provided commensurate with the qualifications of the applicant to ensure success in continuing to grow a research program. Recent and ongoing expansion of the research infrastructure and hiring of new oncology research faculty at Cedars-Sinai is creating unique and attractive opportunities.
If you are interested in this opportunity to join in an expanding lifestyle and cancer research team in a robust clinical and research environment, please email,
