Diagnostic Radiology Residency
Fellows gain experience in all facets of diagnostic radiology, as well as specialized training in current therputic modalities.
We are proud to name so many esteemed physicians and highly regarded researchers, all representing nearly every major medical discipline, as members of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency training program leadership and faculty.
Radiology is a great specialty, which allows for balance between career and family. I was able to have two children during my radiology residency at Cedars-Sinai and still was able to complete the program without any delays. This program provides a supportive environment, which enabled me to excel both as a radiology resident and as a mother and spouse."
Fourth Year Resident Awarded Research Grant
Allen Ardestani, MD, PhD, a fourth year Diagnostic Radiology resident, is the recipient of the prestigious 2016 Resident Research Grant from the Research & Education Foundation of Radiological Society of North America. Ardestani was awarded for his project, "Near-infrared Spectroscopy of the Resting Brain for Predicting Neurologic Outcomes in the Comatose Patient." This grant provides investigators a chance to explore powerful ideas.
Working alongside an experienced advisor, trainees gain insight in research methods and techniques; it is a catalyst to pursue research at a critical point in a radiologist's career.
