National trends in emergency department visits show a steady upward trajectory, challenging hospitals around the country to serve more patients with fewer resources. At Cedars-Sinai, ensuring excellence in the provision of emergency care is a top priority, made possible by significant support from major donors like Todd Morgan and the Todd M. Morgan Family Foundation.

With a generous naming gift, Todd and his family are helping the Cedars-Sinai Emergency Department meet the rising tide of community need. Visitors to the Emergency Department will pass through the Todd M. Morgan Family Foundation Lobby on their way to receiving vital emergency care.

"Cedars-Sinai’s Emergency Department is absolutely essential to maintaining the health and wellbeing of people across Los Angeles," Todd said. "So many of us will rely on its lifesaving assistance, especially as we age, and I am pleased to contribute to strengthen its capacity."

Todd’s passion for boosting philanthropic support of the Emergency Department is longstanding. Over the course of nearly three decades of donating to Cedars-Sinai, he has tirelessly advocated for directing charitable dollars to the department and has played a leadership role in related fundraising initiatives.

"We have all had emergency room experiences, and we know how important those visits can be in restoring our health and the health of our friends and families," Todd said. "This is deeply personal to me, and I am dedicated to equipping the Emergency Department to serve everyone who needs it."

The Morgan family’s gift is fueling the Emergency Department’s ongoing expansion, which is adding critical square footage and facilitating development of specialty pediatric and behavioral healthcare.

As a lifetime member of Cedars-Sinai’s Board of Trustees, Todd has been instrumental in helping the organization thrive. Investing in Cedars-Sinai has also been woven into his DNA: His daughter, Tammy Morgan Ratner, is vice chair of the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors, and Tammy, as well as Todd’s son, Josh Morgan, are continuing the family’s tradition of medical center support as board members of the Todd M. Morgan Family Foundation.
