In Brief

To support its mission as a leader in medical innovation, Cedars-Sinai is expanding its capacity with the construction of a brand new, ultramodern research facility.

The 10-story tower, expected to be completed by 2028, will be wholly dedicated to research and education. The tower will host hundreds of investigators, trainees and supporting faculty associated with the new Cedars-Sinai Health Sciences University. Trainees will benefit from an auditorium, office suites and common research support space.

“This space is embedded right in the heart of our campus, exemplifying our integrated approach to advancing patient care and medical discovery and teaching the next generations to further their careers and serve the community,” said Shlomo Melmed, MB, ChB, dean emeritus of the Medical Faculty, executive adviser to the president and CEO, and the Helene A. and Philip E. Hixon Distinguished Chair in Investigative Medicine at Cedars-Sinai.
