Noble Elected Council Member for AAP

Paul W. Noble, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Medicine and director of the Women's Guild Lung Institute at Cedars-Sinai, has been elected a council member of the Association of American Physicians (AAP).

Noble's five-year appointment as an officer to the nonprofit, professional organization begins May 1. He was elected to the AAP in 2006.

The AAP is an honorific, elected society of the nation’s leading senior physician-scientists that seeks the advancement of scientific and practical medicine. It was founded in 1885 by seven physicians including Sir William Osler and William Henry Welch.

Noble leads research in the Women's Guild Lung Institute at Cedars-Sinai that focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms of lung inflammation and fibrosis as well as discovery of new treatments for pulmonary fibrosis.
