Gena Guidry, MSc
Research Associate II

Gena Guidry earned her master's degree from Tulane University and her bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has been involved in various research projects including studying the bones of zebra fish that have lived in space, as well as studying endogenous opioids during graduate school. After living in Asia for the past few years, Guidry is happy to have found a home in Los Angeles, and looks forward to continuing her research career at Cedars-Sinai.

Arwin Aghamaleky-Sarvestany, PhD
Postdoctoral Scientist

Arwin Aghamaleky-Sarvestany, PhD, earned her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2015. For her PhD, she studied Schwann cell pathology in spinal muscular atrophy. Aghamaleky-Sarvestany joined the laboratory of Robert Baloh, MD, PhD, at the Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute as a postdoctoral scientist to investigate Schwann cell differentiation from Charcot-Marie Tooth patient iPSCs and fibroblasts. Her work in the Hasan Laboratory focuses on elucidating mechanisms of cardiac innervation remodeling in cardiac arrhythmia using rodent models of heart failure and human tissues.
