Facility Access
Access to the Davis Building and the Imaging Core (Suite G140) is restricted to authorized persons only. ID badge access is granted to Research Imaging Core (RIC) users who have an active or upcoming protocol and have completed all mandatory safety training.
To request facility access, first complete all applicable safety training requirements, then submit a request through iLab. Requestors will receive an email confirmation once access has been activated, usually within several business days.

Step 1. Complete Required Safety Training
- HealthStream Course (For Cedars-Sinai internal users only)
- Required for all Imaging Core users
- Search HealthStream course catalog for exact title "MRI Safety- An HCCS Regulatory Course"
- Save PDF copy of completion certificate
- Imaging Core MRI Safety Training and Tour
- Required for all Imaging Core users
- Held every other Thursday in the Imaging Core at 2 p.m.; additional times may be arranged
- Register by emailing groupbiriricaccess@cshs.org
- CPR Certification
- Required for Imaging Core users conducting human subjects research
- ACLS, BLS and Heartsaver are acceptable
- Contact Nursing Education at 310-423-5177 for training schedule
- Save PDF copy of certification
- All Hazards Safety Training
- Required for all users who currently do not have Davis Building badge access
- Required for users handling radioactive materials or PET subjects in the Imaging Core
- Contact the Safety Office at 310-423-4336 to schedule training
- Save PDF copy of completion certification
Step 2. Submit Facility Access Request on iLab
(Only for RIC users; nonusers see instructions above)
- Go to the Imaging Core iLab website
- Login or sign up for an iLab account
- Click the Other Requests tab
- Initiate request for RIC/Davis Facility Access
- Upload documentation for applicable safety training
- Submit request
