Since there Is no cure for ALS our options are very limited. Dr Lewis recommended I come to his ALS clinic, which we are waiting to hear when.

Dr. Lewis was interested in my health issues. He listened to me, answered my questions, and explained everything to me in a manner I could understand. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge of CIDP, and the symptoms related to it as well as other like diseases. I can't say enough to explain the positive impression I have of Doctor Lewis. He is an excellent example of what every doctor should be. I was fortunate to have been able to see him.

My condition is a little confusing and I think the doctors were a little confused by it as well. I had more questions to ask that were of a smaller but real concern and I don't think we really got to that but the bigger ones were and I always felt like I was getiting extremely competent care.

He did not really listen to me because he knew what he wanted to do, did not describe them beforehand, and he was not at all happy with me when I did not follow instructions that when I did not know what was expected.

At times Dr. Lewis seemed anxious to move on so we felt a bit rushed initially in our call. In the end he slowed down and was quite knowledgeable and helpful.

The physician relied on prior nerve conduction study that does not rule out neuromuscular disorders. For example I asked to be tested for small fiber neuropathy and was told by the doctor that because the treatment for SFN Is the same as for fibromyalgia there isn't real reason to do that test". I've been promptly dismissed after 6 months of waiting for this appointment. This visit was a waste of my time.

Seeing so many doctors/specialists take at least 2 hours. As my ALS progresses, this is increasingly a lot of time on top of the long walk from the parking to the offie. Since nothing much can be done to help me, perhaps you could exercise more discretion as to how many different specialists need to see me.

Dr. Lewis showed concern for my issues and has my trust that he will evaluate all my records and come up with a plan. He is the first neurologist that has actually taken the time to evaluate and admit that my issues have gone on too long,

I am a long-term patient with CIDP and we've kind of established what works and what doesn't. However I have moved and there were questions regarding treatment should I need it since my move. That was going to have to be determined and I'm hoping I do hear back.

Once my video visit was over, I was left twisting in the wind. None of the proposed treatment options were followed through. My referring doctor was never contacted to follow up with the suggested missing blood tests or EEG test.

I have lost faith in Cedars over my horrible care by Dr. Lewis and the neurology department. He does not shpw empathy for my pain, cancels appointments and a biopsy that one was cancelled on the day. He is always out pf town, states I have never heard of this and I do not know what is wrong with you for two years without referring me to anyone else. He has blood work done and does not read the results. Soc months later he addressed two positive blood work findings and finally referred me.

I love Dr. Lewis. He is very thorough. Takes his time listening to me. Even though I may not like the answers I hear about my health, he is honest, and also very helpful in trying to find solutions to my issue.
