Glad to have an easy treatment. He showed good amount of care and concern. Could have been a little clearer about the dosing but made sense when I got home.

Love Dr Koursh and how he interacts with our kids. We are willing to drive far to see him

Dr. Koursch has been alienating and discomforting as a provider. He consistently asks what he calls "trick questions" about development milestones or care provision. This in itself is a stressful experience for a new parent, but he then jokes consistently about how we passed and "get to keep the baby." He did this in our first appointment and when we looked surprised, he laughed and said "I've got to stop making that joke, I made a woman cry recently." Even so, he has continued making it. He is very rigid in his approach and not effective in helping us explore different options for our child. His advice on feeding was to start only with rice cereal and seemed unaware of other approaches like introducing solids or allergens, as is recommended by many other providers. Even if this isn't what he would recommend, he could have acknowledged that there are other schools of thought, discussed the research and options, rather than just telling us our baby would choke. Similarly with sleep training he only recommended his approach, without offering any research or alternatives, In general I find his style out of touch and frustrating which has been disappointing given the high level of care I have received from other cedars providers. I have felt uncomfortable and anxious in every meeting and will be taking my child elsewhere moving forward.

I found this provider to be culturally insensitive. We were told twice that everything our mothers and grandmothers taught us was a lie. In my culture we rely heavily on at home treatment and preventative meassures and while I do understand that his response was science based I could not help but feel insulted. We ultimately will folow his reccomendation I wish we would have hada a better experience as we always do with our primary care provider.

Dr. Koursh has been very patient and thorough in working with me to take care of my health. He discovered the elevation of PSA level leading to the removal of my prostate at early stage of cancer. I am really appreciative to his professional care.

Dr. Koursh was and is amazing. He listened with patience then explained conditions with a model. He made sure I knew why certain illnesses happen and set out a detailed plan for my son's health. He was very attentive to my son and helped him feel calm during the visit. He didn't rush through the visit which was great amd he is the one who noticed the delay in my son's speech and referred us to speech therapy. Now my son is advancing in his speech. Dr. Koursh is an amazing doctor!!

We love Dr. Koursh!!! He's the best!! I went in for a sick visit with my daughter, who usually sees another doctor. Dr. Koursh sees my older son. My 8 year daughter liked him so much, she asked me to switch to him that day!!! So I did. We couldn't be happier. He's so good, answers all my questions, takes his time, so good with kids of ages. Makes going to the doctor so much easier. Thank you Dr, Koursh.

I plan to move my son away from Dr. Koursh and Cedars Sinai after this last visit. While I understand and expect our pediatrician to provide a medical and scientific point of view for ways to safely raise a child, I also expect to be treated with respect as a "customer" and parent. At our six month appointment, Dr. Koursh asked what foods my son had tried - I began to tell him, and was interrupted with, "Trick question, you weren't supposed to start solids yet". I mentioned my son showed all signs of readiness that we discussed at our four month appointment, including grabbing at our food, and was met with, "If you had rat poison in your hand and he reached for it, would you feed it to him?" Absolutely gobsmacked, I was rendered speechless and did not respond. Being a first time parent is hard enough, and I don't feel supported by Dr. Koursh's (or the office's) level of care; rather, I feel burdened every time I need to be in contact or make a visit.

Dr Koursh is very knowledgeable and certainly listens to any questions a parent has. Sometimes he can be strict with the parents but an excellent doctor overall. Would certainly recommend him

Explained to Dr son was complaining of discomfort in mouth. Dr said there would not be a need to check his mouth as it would be disruptive to child. Completely unacceptable particularly when then giving the POSSIBLE diagnosis of hand foot mouth disease. There was no examination of mouth nor remedies to easy child's pain.
