Our Approach to Urology Academic Practice
Our team specializes in a wide range of urology conditions and cancers, from routine to complex. We draw on our experience to provide expert treatment for men, women and children. All our physicians are subspecialty-trained and dedicate their practice to their urologic specialty.
We use the latest treatments, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery to improve accuracy, comfort and recovery time. Cedars-Sinai is also one of only a handful of centers that performs live-donor kidney transplant surgery (laparoscopic live-donor nephrectomy). We also offer a full range of gender-affirming surgeries and medical therapies.
You may be able to consult with our team using video technology. When appropriate, your physician can use telehealth to review your records, discuss options and help select treatment. Learn more about urology video visits.
Cutting Edge Research
We continue to research new diagnostic and treatment technologies through clinical trials. Patients who participate in these innovative research studies have access to the latest treatments and enable us to offer superior care, now and in the future. Your doctor will discuss if you are a candidate for a clinical trial.
Collaboration With Experts
We work with other specialists to provide comprehensive care. For example, we often coordinate care for urologic cancers with medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. Our multispecialty tumor board reviews complex cases so we can ensure we've considered all care options.
We want to make the process as easy as possible. From the moment you reach out to us, our patient navigators keep track of your appointments and next steps. We help manage the logistics, so you can focus on getting better.
