Trauma Injury Awareness

We offer expert-led programs to spread awareness and prevent injury.

This two-day interactive injury prevention program educates high school students about the dangers of drinking or texting while driving. Cedars-Sinai staff, emergency medical professionals and town officials collaborate to empower young people to make good decisions.

Cedars-Sinai partners with community leaders to reduce fall risks for older adults. Through education, advocacy, planning and community action, our fall coalition spreads fall awareness and prevention education across Los Angeles County.

Are you at risk for falling? Join Cedars-Sinai at our annual event for blood pressure screenings, tai chi demonstration, balance assessment, review of medications and information on preventing falls. Check the Cedars-Sinai Event Calendar for the date of the next event.

Injury is a public health concern that affects us all. HAVEN is a Los Angeles-based collaborative program. Its goal is to eradicate preventable injuries by developing and supporting programs that prevent injuries. Check the Cedars-Sinai Event Calendar for the date of the next event.

As a Level 1 trauma center, Cedars-Sinai is committed to injury prevention. Our ad hoc committee facilitates collaboration among nursing, medical staff and other disciplines. Together, we improve and coordinate injury prevention efforts, education and outreach within the community.

Cedars-Sinai belongs to a group of local partners that collaborate to create a more injury-free community. Check the Cedars-Sinai Event Calendar for the date of the next event.

Cedars-Sinai participates in an international network of organizations to prevent accidental injuries to children. Coalition members provide child car seat inspections for families in our community. Members also offer helmets and car seats to families in need.

The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma created Stop the Bleed to save lives that would otherwise be lost due to preventable injury. More than 100 million people have participated in these courses. In partnership, Cedars-Sinai runs Stop the Bleed courses to help people learn how to stop severe bleeding.
