The Cedars-Sinai Trauma Program plays a vital role in helping people survive and heal from severe injury. As a Level I trauma center, we offer advanced resources and technologies throughout Los Angeles County and beyond.

What Is a Trauma Center?

A Level I trauma center is capable of providing total care for every aspect of injury—from prevention through rehabilitation. Initial assessments and diagnostics typically occur in the emergency room. From there, the trauma program coordinates care for patients with more complex or severe injuries.

Cedars-Sinai has the capabilities to deal with the most extreme injuries, including those that require surgical specialties and complex intervention. A fully equipped operating room and expert team are always available to treat life-threatening injuries.

At the Cedars-Sinai Trauma Program, you are in the hands of an experienced trauma team, united by a mutual mission to save lives. We treat all types of injuries and critical conditions, including:

  • Traumatic car crash injuries
  • Brain injuries
  • Blunt force trauma
  • Gunshot wounds
  • Stab wounds
