The Cedars-Sinai Pain Center was established with the mission to improve the quality of the lives of individuals who experience acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain in Southern California.

Pain is a condition that affects the daily life and financial security of individuals and their families. It is a complex, challenging problem, requiring careful investigation of symptoms and specialized care. For persons experiencing acute, chronic and cancer-related pain, the Cedars-Sinai Pain Center offers a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment options.

The center's trained, board-certified healthcare specialists include doctors and dentists with fellowship training in pain medicine, pain management and orofacial pain. The doctors have training in anesthesiology, internal medicine and neurology. Team members include psychologists trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and biofeedback as well as physical therapists. This multidisciplinary approach translates into individually designed treatment programs that best suit patients' needs.

Pain Center doctors, dentists and psychologists primarily work with referring doctors; however, we do accept patient referrals.

Treating Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea causes a person to momentarily stop breathing while sleeping. This means that the brain and body doesn't get the oxygen it needs. Without treatment, sleep apnea can lead to high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke or even heart failure if left untreated.
