Adult Neuropsychology
The Adult Neuropsychology Program helps adult patients and families understand and manage physical, cognitive and emotional problems associated with recovery from illness or injury. Neuropsychology testing evaluates a patient’s cognitive functioning in a wide range of domains such as memory, attention, language, affect and problem-solving skills. Services are offered both inpatient and outpatient within Cedars-Sinai and California Rehabilitation Institute.

Conditions
Any individual who has been diagnosed with a neurological condition may be seen by one of our neuropsychologists. Some of the conditions treated include:
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Anoxic/hypoxic brain injury
- Brain tumors
- Encephalitis
- Epilepsy/seizure disorders
- Genetic disorders
- Medically complex cases (encephalopathy, metabolic disturbances, myocardial infarction, sleep apnea)
- Memory disorders/dementia
- Metabolic/toxic brain injury
- Mild cognitive impairment
- Movement disorders (dystonia, essential tremor, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease)
- Multiple sclerosis
- Neurodevelopmental disorder
- Pre- and post-surgical intervention (brain tumor resection, coronary artery bypass graft, deep brain stimulation)
- Stroke/cerebrovascular disease
- Systemic diseases affecting the brain or central nervous system (organ failure)
- Transplant candidates/recipients
- Traumatic brain injury/concussion
