Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Repository (IRB no. 00000048)

Summary

The purpose of this study is to create a data and specimen repository to evaluate new ways of diagnosing multiple sclerosis (MS) and to distinguish these diagnostic techniques from mimics in order to prevent misdiagnosis. A repository is a collection of data and/or specimens that are stored with the intent of supporting future research.

The main procedures of the study will include a clinic visit and may or may not include the following based on clinical needs at the time of the participant's routine care: neuro-ophthalmological exam, MRI, research blood draw most often in conjunction with a clinically-indicated routine visit and any leftover specimens from a routine lumbar puncture. Information collected from this study may lead to a better understanding of the use of imaging, serum and specialized neuro-ophthalmologic testing in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with neuroimmune conditions.
