Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-based stress reduction is a mind and body wellness program for people experiencing stress, chronic pain and chronic illness.
Mindfulness is a way of learning how to live with greater awareness of the unfolding events of your life, a way of using your innate resources to take charge of life in ways that no one else can do for you. Our mindfulness-based stress reduction program will teach you the skills you need to live a healthier life.
You will learn to integrate methods designed to help reduce stress and to deal with the effects of chronic pain and chronic illness.

Everyday Mindfulness Workshop
This all-day workshop allows you to take some time for yourself and learn some practical tools to help manage stress, chronic pain and illness. The day will include:
- Guided mindfulness meditations
- Mindful sitting, walking, stretching, eating, speaking and listening
- Brief lectures
- Questions and answers
This workshop is open to beginners as well as those who already have a mindfulness practice. Sessions are on Saturdays and recur monthly. Since this is an all-day workshop, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing, and that you bring your own lunch, yoga mat, blanket or towel to lay down on.

8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program
Our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is modeled on the original program developed in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD, the founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Everyone is welcome. The program includes:
- Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices
- Group discussion
- Home exercises
- Mindful stretching and postures
- Guided meditations recordings and handouts
This class meets weekly for eight consecutive weeks. All sessions are two and a half hours long, except for a full day retreat.

Meet the Instructor
Gloria Kamler, MA, is a holistic educator and stress-relief expert, who has taught mindfulness meditation for the past 20 years. She facilitates all levels of the Mindful Awareness Practices classes at UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center. Over the course of her career, Gloria has trained with mindfulness leaders such as Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, founder of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, and Shinzen Young, PhD, founder of Vipassana Support International. She has maintained a personal meditation practice for more than three decades, and her dedication to living mindfully is an integral part of both her professional and personal life
