Computed Tomography (CT) Scans

Computed tomography (also known as a CT or CAT scan) uses a narrow beam of X-rays and high-powered computers to generate images of bones and soft-tissues in the body. Below is a list of the most-common CT procedures offered at the accredited S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center. On each page you can find detailed information about the procedure and what to expect if you are coming for an exam. The exams are listed by the part of the body.

The S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center provides a full range of advanced imaging, both radiology and cardiology, as well as interventional radiology and interventional tumor (oncology) treatments to the greater Los Angeles area, including Beverly Hills, Encino, Mid-Cities, Sherman Oaks, Silver Lake, Studio City, Toluca Lake and West Hollywood.
