Physician Referrals

The Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Program at the Smidt Heart Institute welcomes referrals from outside physicians. Our goal is to work alongside referring physicians to enhance their patients' care through the services we provide, including enrolling eligible patients into appropriate clinical trials.

Patients electively referred to MCS are seen within a week. For urgent or emergency referrals, please contact Dr. Jaime Moriguchi at 310-248-8300 or by calling the Mechanical Circulatory Support office at 310-423-7338.
