For Medical Professionals

Physician Referrals

The Electrophysiology Program welcomes referrals from outside physicians seeking consults for their patients with suspected cardiac arrhythmia problems. The program's goal is to work alongside referring physicians and enhance their patients’ care through the services the program provides.

To submit a referral request, call 310-248-6679.

Publications

You can review publications by physicians and researchers from the Electrophysiology Program on PubMed.

Grand Rounds and Conferences

Every two years, more than 200 healthcare professionals attend the Arrhythmia Symposium at the Smidt Heart Institute. The symposium, offered in collaboration with the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society, provides attendees with the latest information on advances in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders.

The next symposium will take place Dec. 7, 2018, at Cedars-Sinai.

Fellowship and Training Programs

We offer an accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship to individuals preparing for careers in academic and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. You can find more information on the program's website or from Xenia Lovrekovic-Delic, academic program coordinator, at xenia.lovrekovic-delic@cshs.org.

The Smidt Heart Institute also offers training for its postdoctoral candidates. To learn more, see Heart Institute NIH T32 Funded Training Program for Postdoctoral Research.
