Women's Cancer Clinical Trials

At the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program, our goal is to provide you with the best treatment plan to help you fight cancer. Sometimes, your doctor might suggest trying a new drug therapy or protocol that's still in the clinical trial, or testing, phase. We recommend this step only when we believe it will improve your quality of life or survival odds.

What Are Clinical Trials?

Clinical trials are research studies that test new approaches to care. Doctors rely on findings from clinical trials to boost your cancer survival odds. Clinical trials for women’s cancer focus on:

  • Better screening methods to detect cancer earlier when it's most treatable
  • Supportive care for managing disease-related issues such as nausea and depression
  • New treatment development, including immunotherapies, gene therapies and new medications
  • Cancer recurrence prevention or reducing the chances of developing a certain cancer
