Comprehensive Treatment Planning

The Lung Cancer Clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team of leading experts in thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, pathology, and radiology. Treatment strategies are developed with referring physicians and often involve surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of treatments and clinical trials when appropriate.

Diagnostic and Screening Services

The Lung Cancer Clinic uses comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including endobronchial ultrasound, endoscopic ultrasound, detailed radiographic evaluation, a bronchoscopic biopsy or needle biopsy to assist the team in determining the best course of treatment. Thoracic surgeons also may be asked to perform a minimally invasive biopsy of the lung lesion.
