Judaism

For more than 100 years, Cedars-Sinai’s role as a Jewish hospital has been to provide compassionate care to people of all faiths and backgrounds.  Our values motivate us to offer chaplains of various traditions and celebrations of many major holidays for our diverse community of patients, their loved ones, and our caregivers.

Patients, visitors and staff members can continue to practice their Jewish faith while at Cedars-Sinai. We offer certified kosher meal options, a list of kosher restaurants in the area, and special holiday observances.

Shabbat and other services are held in our chapel and some are televised, and our chaplains can assist you with religious rituals and observances. You'll also find information on advance healthcare directives that comply with Jewish traditions.

You'll find a number of synagogues nearby, where you can attend services and nurture your faith.
