Reverend Hannah M. Rhiza, MA, MDiv, BCC

Rev. Hannah Rhiza is a Christian chaplain who serves in an interfaith capacity at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. She is board-certified with the Association of Professional Chaplains.
Prior to entering a path in spiritual care, Rev. Rhiza comes from an academic and professional background in criminal justice, specializing in corporate and private security. Her 18-year tenure in the field has provided her extensive practical experience in dealing with clients of all walks of life amid crisis situations. She has earned a master of arts degree in criminal justice from Boston University and a master of divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Rev. Rhiza has completed four units of clinical pastoral education at Cedars-Sinai and has continued on to serve as a chaplain fellow. She has also served as a pediatric chaplain at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Rev. Rhiza’s experiences as a spiritual care provider include attending to gastrointestinal and respiratory units, palliative care, critical care, patients with psychiatric needs, general medicine, pediatric medical/surgical units, pediatric oncology, pediatric outpatient clinic and pediatric psychiatry. In addition, she also serves as an on-site mentor for the Clinical Pastoral Education Program.
Rev. Rhiza is an ordained minister serving on the online ministry team at Eastside Christian Church.
