Clint Eastwood To Be Honored By The Thalians Mental Health Center

Annual Gala/Ball Set for Nov. 2


Los Angeles - August 29, 2008 - Motion picture icon, actor and director, Clint Eastwood is to be honored for his lifetime achievements by The Thalians at their 53rd Anniversary Gala/Ball on Sunday evening November 2nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The announcement was made by The Thalians founding members Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee.

The Annual Gala/Ball honors a legendary star or celebrity for their lifetime achievements and charitable contributions. Past Thalians Gala/Ball honorees include Sir Roger Moore, Sally Field, Liza Minnelli, Mary Tyler Moore, Shirley MacLaine, Burt Bacharach, Whoopi Goldberg, Carol Burnett, and Angela Lansbury.

The event supports the Thalians Mental Health Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Thalians Mental Health Center is considered to be one of the top and most respected mental health centers in the world, engaging in neuroscience research, resident training, patient care and outreach programs to the Southern California community. The Center treats diseases such as Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, depression, substance abuse, bi-polar disorders, and autism.

At the Thalians Mental Health Center, the Cedars-Sinai Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health offers crisis intervention, counseling, therapy, day treatment and long-term care, all on a sliding-scale fee based on ability to pay.
