Cedars-Sinai Wishes the L.A. Rams Good Luck for the Playoffs

As the Los Angeles Rams head into playoff season, Cedars-Sinai – the official health partner of the football team – will be rooting for the NFC West champions. With a season record of 13-3, the Rams take on the Dallas Cowboys this Saturday, Jan. 12, at 5:15 p.m. PST.

“We are grateful for the countless ways the Rams went above and beyond to support our patients, employees and community this year,” said Sandie Sternberg, coordinator, Child Life Services at Cedars-Sinai. “Now it’s our turn to stand behind this incredible team as they enter playoff season.”

Most recently, players from the Rams joined Cedars-Sinai and The Salvation Army to provide a holiday shopping spree for families in need, including one family chosen by COACH for Kids, Cedars-Sinai’s landmark mobile medical and case-management program. Each member of the family of five received $100 to shop for their holiday wish list at a local Walmart. After the shopping trip, the COACH for Kids family received a gift certificate for a much needed washer-dryer.

Throughout the year, select players surprised countless patients throughout the medical center, including those receiving care in The Maxine Dunitz Children's Health Center and the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, meeting and greeting with them and posing for pictures.

Cedars-Sinai also hosted Rams-palooza, when 28 rookie players and several cheerleaders arrived on the Cedars-Sinai campus to spread cheer to employees and patients alike.

“These player visits were a welcome distraction for patients and their families,” said Sternberg. “It was one of the many ways the team went above and beyond for our patients.”
