Explore the Radiation Oncology Residency at Cedars-Sinai

Cedars-Sinai Radiation Oncology residency is a four-year program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The small size of the program allows us to provide personalized teaching by subspecialist faculty while utilizing the most advanced technology and optimizing research opportunities.

Salary & Benefits

Cedars-Sinai provides residents with competitive and comprehensive benefits. Our package includes an annual stipend, housing allowance and insurance.

Residency Training and Curriculum

Residents complete all clinical rotations at Cedars-Sinai except for a one-month pediatrics rotation at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Currently, residents have a flexible (at least eight-month) research block. The Holman pathway is supported.

Job Placement After Residency Training

Ensuring residents can secure ideal jobs after completing training is a priority for our program. Our graduating residents have been able to accept positions at their top-choice programs across the country.

Technology Available in the Department of Radiation Oncology

Currently, there are three treatment vaults at Cedars-Sinai (one Elekta Versa, two Varian TrueBeam), a Varian HDR Bravos afterloader and a Xoft machine.

Research Opportunities

There are a wide array of available research opportunities, spanning disciplines from clinical, physics, imaging, population, digital health, computational, translational and basic sciences. There is a basic science graduate medical education program at Cedars-Sinai that also enriches the research landscape.
