Nari Kim is originally from Pleasanton, California. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific in May 2017. Kim’s professional interests include acute care, drug use policy/drug info, transplant and pediatrics. Upon completing her PGY1/PGY2 combined residency, Kim plans to continue her role as a clinical pharmacist at a large academic center, serve as a preceptor to students and go on an overseas medical mission trip. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, appreciating the arts, painting, spending time outdoors and listening to live music. She would like to thank her family, mentors, friends and co-workers for their unconditional support and encouragement.
Eliza Asherian is originally from Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Southern California. Her professional interests include critical care and cardiology. Upon completing her PGY1 residency, she plans to continue her training with a second-year specialty residency and ultimately practice as a clinical specialist at an academic medical center. In addition to her clinical interests, she has a passion for teaching and hopes to pursue a career as a college of pharmacy professor. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Raymond Lee is from Baldwin Park, California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. His professional interests include general medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, and academia. Upon completion of his PGY1 training, Raymond plans to pursue a clinical pharmacist position at a tertiary care or academic medical center and hopes to serve as a preceptor for students and residents. In his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, eating lots of food, going to the beach, and watching sports.
Miah Pollack is originally from Chino Hills, California. She received her Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Her professional interests include ambulatory care, cardiology, transitions of care, patient education, and general medicine. Upon completing her residency, Miah plans to pursue a clinical pharmacist position and serve as a mentor and preceptor to students and residents. In her spare time, Miah enjoys traveling, running, yoga, and being active to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Victoria D. Nguyen is originally from Brea, California. She received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry from San Diego State University, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She has lived in southern California her whole life. Nguyen's professional interests include oncology and critical care. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, she plans to pursue a second-year specialty residency. Nguyen would like to continuously be involved in organizations that provides exceptional patient care and helping hands to the communities. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring the beauty of the outdoors. She would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors - she is grateful for their support and encouragement.
Jennifer Lee is from the South Bay, Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at UC Berkeley and Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Arizona. Her professional interests include critical care, internal medicine, and infectious disease. Her ultimate goal is to practice at an academic medical center and continue her involvement with research and quality improvement projects. In her spare time, she enjoys spending as much time with her family and friends as possible, traveling, and going to museums and concerts.
Ryan Hays is from Aliso Viejo, California. He received his Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of California, Irvine and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California. His professional interests include cardiology, medication safety and drug information. Upon completing his PGY1 residency training, he plans to pursue a clinical pharmacist position where he hopes to blend his professional pharmacy interests and eventually move into an administrative role. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, going to the beach and watching sports.
Agafe Saguros is from Fort Washington, Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Roseman University School of Health Sciences. Agafe completed her PGY-1 training with the Indian Health Service at Whiteriver Indian Hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona. Agafe’s professional interests include transitions of care and internal medicine. Her goals are to practice at an academic medical center, and to continue being active in clinical research and a residency program. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, baking, and playing with her dog, Yogurt.
Justine Preedit is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She is excited to pursue her clinical interests at Cedars Sinai and appreciates being able to directly influence the care of patients, as well as work closely with other health care providers. After completing her PGY2 residency training, she hopes to work in both inpatient and ambulatory oncology pharmacy settings, with a special emphasis on optimizing the pharmacist’s role in transitions of care. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, traveling, and dancing.
Laura Halsey is from Minneapolis, MN. She received an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Society, & Environment at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in Duluth. Following graduation, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. As a Health-system Pharmacy Administration PGY-2, she is looking forward to a busy year pursuing a myriad of professional interests, including pharmacy informatics & operations, opioid stewardship, and medication safety. When not working, she enjoys traveling, sewing, Zumba, and cheering for the Cubbies.
