Training & Curriculum

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a large, 915-bed quaternary care hospital. Broad exposure to diverse and unique rotations allows residents to become highly skilled at caring for patients with both common and complex medical issues.

*Residents may select from Surgical, Cardiac Surgery, Medical, Cardiac and Neurology Intensive Care Units to fulfill this requirement.

Didactics

Didactic sessions include lectures and discussions throughout the year which are essential to the educational experience of our pharmacy residents.

  • Grand rounds
    • Clinical topic presented to internal medicine residents
  • Journal Club
    • Each resident will present 3 articles in a monthly series reviewing current and novel literature
  • Pharmacist CE
    • Present an ACPE accredited CE to our pharmacists
  • Wellness Series
    • Incorporated into biweekly huddles
  • Research Series
    • These timely lectures provide residents with resources, guidance and feedback on their research project throughout the year.

Research Project

Each resident will be assigned a longitudinal research project that will include a poster and platform presentation at professional conferences and a manuscript.
