Instructions & Information for Applicants


Categorical (No. 1030140C0) and Primary Care Track (No. 1030140M0) applicants will need:
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Transcript of medical school records
  • Personal statement
  • Medical student performance evaluation from your dean
  • Supporting letter from the chair of your department of medicine or their designee
  • Letters of recommendation from at least 2 additional internal medicine faculty sponsors in support of your application
  • Fourth letter of recommendation from any source (optional)
  • USMLE Step 1 results
  • USMLE Step 2 results (if available)

Preliminary Program (No. 1030140P0) applicants will need:
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Transcript of medical school records
  • Personal statement
  • Medical student performance evaluation from your dean
  • Supporting letter from the chair of your department of medicine or their designee (strongly recommended) or a letter from the chair of the department of your advanced specialty program or their designee
  • Letter of recommendation from at least 1 additional internal medicine faculty sponsor in support of your application
  • Letter of recommendation from a faculty sponsor in any specialty in support of your application
  • Fourth letter of recommendation from any source (optional)
  • USMLE Step 1 results
  • USMLE Step 2 results (if available)
Interview & Selection Process

All applications will be screened after October 1st. Applicants will be contacted via email. The deadline for accepting your application is December 1st. We strongly encourage you to apply prior to December as interview slots fill quickly.

No, we do not have a minimum score requirement, but all applicants must pass the USMLE Step 1 prior to consideration for an interview. We do not require applicants to have USMLE Step 2 scores reported prior to consideration for an interview, though we do encourage all of our applicants to report those scores when available.

No. While we do accept applications from graduates of osteopathic medical schools, we require all applicants to have passed the USMLE per the requirements above.
