Application Information
The fellowship is limited only to individuals who have graduated from an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship. Fellows are required to have a valid license/PTL from the California Medical Board. Please note that the Smidt Heart Institute can accept only incoming trainees who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents or valid ECFMG J1 or H1B visa holders.
Positions are filled for academic year 2022–23.
The AHFTC Fellowship is participating in the 2021 National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Match for the 2023-24 academic year.
Applicants interested in applying for academic year 2023-24, please note the following timeline:
- July 7–Sept. 16, 2022 - all applications for our program should be filed through ERAS
- Sept. 27–Oct. 7, 2022 - interviews will occur
- Nov. 16, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET - rank order lists must be entered and certified
- Nov. 30, 2022 - Match Day
