Breast Oncology Fellowship

Cedars-Sinai offers a one-year clinical interdisciplinary breast oncology fellowship to candidates who have completed a general surgery residency and who are board-eligible or board-certified. Interested candidates will be considered for an additional year of breast oncology research. Our program is approved by the Society of Surgical Oncology.

The Breast Oncology Fellowship is an integrated, multidisciplinary program that encompasses the study of benign and malignant diseases, clinical research, epidemiology, risk factors, prevention, genetics, early detection, staging, treatment, continuity of care, survivorship, psycho-oncology and quality of life.

Major emphasis is placed on surgical oncology training and multidisciplinary care. After completion of our program, the candidate will be well versed in providing multidisciplinary care and well prepared for an academic career. Fellows will gain the knowledge needed to initiate a new breast program or become director of an existing breast program.
