Please note that we cannot administer a second dose if you received your first dose at another vaccination site. If you received your first dose at another vaccination site, please return to that site for your second dose.

If you received your COVID-19 vaccination at a location other than Cedars-Sinai, please bring your vaccination card to your next doctor’s appointment so we can update your vaccination record.

Third Doses for Immunocompromised Patients

  • The FDA and CDC have authorized third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines for some people with weakened immune systems.
  • The third dose is not a booster dose. The third dose is meant to give immunocompromised patients the same level of protection that two doses give non-immunocompromised patients. Boosters are meant to target variants and raise immunity in case previous vaccination wears off. Boosters have not yet been approved by the FDA, though they likely will be soon.
  • Before attempting to make an appointment for a third dose, review the information provided on the County of Los Angeles Public Health website or talk to you doctor or healthcare provider about your condition.

Patients Under the Age of 18

  • A consent form is required for all patients under the age of 18.
  • If you are 16 or 17 years old, a parent or legal guardian should accompany you to your appointment. If this is not possible, bring a signed copy of the consent form to your appointment.
  • If you are under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian or a responsible adult. If you are accompanied by a responsible adult, the consent form must name the responsible person and be signed by the parent or legal guardian. The responsible person must bring their photo ID.
  • Examples of proof of age can be found on the LA County Department of Health's vaccine page, under item 3, "Required documentation."

Continue to Follow COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Even after being vaccinated, you should follow CDC guidelines—including wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing as appropriate.

An important word about Cedars-Sinai physicians: Their offices are not yet able to schedule vaccine appointments. Please do not call them to schedule a vaccine appointment. We are all grateful for your support.
