Cedars-Sinai is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as Abu Dhabi’s first preferred provider in the U.S. The agreement will facilitate international patient referrals, help enhance patient care and support a wide range of quality improvement projects.

H.E. Mohamed Hamad Al Hameli, Abu Dhabi’s undersecretary of the Department of Health, signed the agreement during his visit to Cedars-Sinai in the fall of 2019.

The Department of Health is the regulative body of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensures excellence in care by monitoring public health. Its International Patient Care Division can refer patients for treatment abroad, helping residents of Abu Dhabi and the rest of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) access state-of-the art services in the most distinguished medical institutions worldwide.

The agreement will allow patients from the UAE to benefit from Cedars-Sinai’s outstanding care, while expanding the medical center’s presence in the six member nations that comprise the Gulf Cooperation Council.
