Insurance and Payment Options for International Patients
For patients and their families coming from their home countries for medical care, Cedars-Sinai is committed to making travel to Los Angeles as easy as possible. We want you to understand the choices you have for health insurance coverage and bill payment. If you'd like to be covered for care from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and our doctors, see below to explore your payment options and which insurance plans are accepted for international patients. You'll also find more details about the services available to international patients.
Cedars-Sinai is currently contracted with health insurance plans from Calvo's SelectCare Health Plan and National Healthcare Solutions Inc. If you have a different plan and are unsure if you are covered for treatment at Cedars-Sinai, please contact your health insurance provider.
Cedars-Sinai's team at the Center for International Health and Telemedicine will work with your insurance carrier to make sure all the authorizations and papers you need are filed properly.
If your health insurance doesn't cover your medical care in the United States, Cedars-Sinai will create a cash package/agreement for you in advance that covers the details about your planned treatment, providers, payment and related terms.
The cost of your care is determined by tests and procedures recommended or outlined by your accepting/treating doctor.
Payment in full is due prior to your arrival. Payments must be in U.S. dollars and can be made by wire transfer, cashier's check, credit cards (such as UnionPay, Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express), or cash.
