Patient Ratings & Comments

At Cedars-Sinai, we are committed to helping you find the right doctor to meet your needs. As part of our commitment to transparency, we post our doctor's outpatient satisfaction ratings and comments online.

About Our Survey

We are committed to providing each patient with an exceptional care experience. To ensure that we are holding ourselves to the highest standards, we partner with an independent research company, Press Ganey, to gather feedback from our patients, which allows us to continually improve our patients' experience.

We measure all aspects of patient satisfaction, and all surveys are completed confidentially by actual patients.

About Our Ratings & Patient Comments

Our doctor ratings are an average of all responses to doctor-related questions on our outpatient satisfaction survey. Star ratings are calculated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest possible score. Also, verbatim comments collected during our survey are displayed in their entirety. Patients are not identified to protect their confidentiality and privacy.

Ratings and comments will reflect a rolling 12-month period.

Why Do Some Doctors Not Have Any Rating?

Currently, we only survey for doctors who are members of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network and/or doctors who see patients in one of our licensed outpatient medical practices. Other doctors, who are also members of the Cedars-Sinai medical staff but practice in settings other than the ones above, or only practice in an inpatient setting or in our Emergency Department, are not currently surveyed.

In addition, a minimum of 30 survey responses for the doctor is required before any comments or rating is posted.

Who Receives the Survey?

Patients seeing a Cedars-Sinai doctor in one of our medical offices for primary care, specialty care or urgent care are eligible to receive a survey. With a few exceptions, patients who have had frequent visits to their doctor will receive no more than one survey every 90 days. Patients receive an electronic survey by email.

We may use this feedback to improve aspects of the patient experience. Our goal is to provide each patient with an exceptional experience.

Do You Post All Comments?

To provide as accurate a picture as possible, we are committed to posting positive and negative feedback. However, we do not post comments that are profane or those that risk the privacy of our patients.
